ERIC RIEDEL

Tenor Eric Riedel, described by the National Opera Association as possessing a “lovely timbre and obvious commitment,” is quickly establishing himself as an emerging vocal artist. Recent credits include performing as tenor soloist in Mozart’s Requiem, as well as solo appearances with the Kentucky Bach Choir and Seven Hills Baroque. In the summer of 2026, Riedel will return to Cincinnati Opera to perform in the chorus of Bizet’s Carmen, and will also embark on a residency at Worcester Cathedral in the United Kingdom alongside the Christ Church Cathedral Choir.

He earned his Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Miami University and continues to build his performance career while completing his graduate studies at CCM.

  • [Mr. Riedel] is advanced and performs with a lovely timbre and obvious commitment. I am particularly impressed with the intensity of the character relationships. A serious subject such as this is difficult to execute for a young singer, and he does this brilliantly.

  • It is fair to say that [Riedel]'s voice is so effervescent and pure that the meaning of the text sung is conveyed in a heart-achingly tender way as to generate tears from audiences.
