ERIC RIEDEL

Tenor Eric Riedel, praised for his “lovely timbre and obvious commitment” (National Opera Association), is currently pursuing his Master of Music in Voice at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. In the 2024-2025 season, he makes his CCM Opera debut as Snout the Tinker (Wall) in Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, as well as performing in opera scenes from Mozart’s La Clemenza di Tito (as Tito) and Idomeneo (as Idomeneo and Arbace). This season also marks his first appearance as tenor soloist in Mendelssohn’s Elijah, as well as his Cincinnati Opera debut as a member of the chorus in Verdi’s Rigoletto.

He earned his Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Miami University and continues to build his performance career while completing his graduate studies at CCM.

  • [Mr. Riedel] is advanced and performs with a lovely timbre and obvious commitment. I am particularly impressed with the intensity of the character relationships. A serious subject such as this is difficult to execute for a young singer, and he does this brilliantly.
